(Summary description)From October 16 to 18, 2024, the 5th China Advanced Materials Industry Development Conference and the 1st Advanced Materials Device-Oriented Expo, co-hosted by the Chinese Materials Research Society and the Administrative Committee of Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone, was held at the Wuhan Sports Center. Nearly 8,000 representatives including academicians, experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, investors and government officials from the global advanced-materials sector attended the event.
Centered on the theme of Accelerating Major Breakthroughs in Key Strategic Materials and Fully Promoting the High-Quality Development of New-Quality Productive Forces, the conference focused on the significant demands of emerging future industries and explored major breakthroughs in cutting-edge advanced materials. It strived to support high-tech industries, high-end manufacturing, major projects and emerging industries in achieving higher-level development. Nearly 80 sub-venues and forums were arranged, covering seven major categories: key basic materials, key energy materials, key information materials, biomedical materials, health-oriented comfort materials, environmental engineering materials and safety engineering materials. Centering on major technological breakthroughs made in the past five years, the conference promoted in-depth integration among the scientific community, enterprises and investors, accelerated the industrialization and application of advanced materials, and fostered new-quality productive forces.
