Agglomerated welding flux combines all the raw materials to produce a dry mixture that is then bonded by a liquid binder such as potassium silicate or sodium silicate. The mixture is baked at low temperatures and sieved to attain a specified particle size.
Precautions for using agglomerated welding flux:
1. In the process of using agglomerated welding flux, because the flux will oxidize and absorb water vapor in the air, which will change the concentration of the flux and cause the concentration to drop, so attention should be drawn. Therefore, it is usually necessary to cover the bottle cap in time when not in use.
2. If the prepared agglomerated welding flux is stored for too long, the composition of the flux will change, the activation performance will deteriorate, and the welding quality will be affected. Therefore, the flux that has been stored for too long should not be used, and the flux should be replaced regularly.
3. At a high temperature exceeding the specified temperature, the insulation performance of the agglomerated welding flux drops sharply, so that the residue of the flux has a great impact on heating components (such as high-power transistors, resistors, etc.), and even causes a short circuit. Therefore, it is necessary to clean it after welding.
