Application:

HW933 is an agglomerated , Silicate-Manganese flux for submerged arc welding. It is an active flux which adds Mn to the weld deposit. The flux offers excellent resistance hairline cracking in single pass welding. It is not sensitive to light rust and scale. It has superior porosity resistance.

HW933 flux has a slow freezing slag which produces a wide, flat weld seam. It is therefore well suited to single pass fillet welding with tandem wires or multi-wire systems or in large diameter spiral welded pipe.

Its features include excellent welding performance, superior arc stability, with high current carrying capacity up to 1000A.

When combined with appropriate wires, it is suitable for low carbon steel, low alloy steel and heat resisting steel, and is recommended for welding of ship hull plates and boilers or pressure vessels.

It should not be used in more than 3 layers due to its active alloying characteristics.

Notes：
1.Re-dry the flux at 300-350℃ for 60 minutes before welding.
2.Remove rust, water scale, primer and other contaminants on the base metal before welding to obtain excellent weld deposit.
3.Add new flux regularly before using the recycled flux to prevent defective weld bead.
